mary and the circus

however this is what my brain feels like today for more reasons than one. aside from blurred eyes and head dizziness that comes from catching the common cold i have been drinking coffee and watching what seems like a thousand spring2012 shows and trying to learn a little more about designers/spring collections for another new (non internet) project i'm starting. if all the shows i watched today were played on a giant projector overlapping each other and then i took a still from that projector i feel like it would look like this painting as well. i think it is good when paintings remind you of other things. another accomplishment today was writing/planning/drawing more in my new red moleskine. there is a lot to be said about the feeling of continuously writing in the same moleskine, watching the pages get more and more wrinkly, more and more used.

speaking of writing, someone left a poem in my last post which i was pretty happy to see. i think i'll repost it since it symbolizes the first addidion to this project besides my own. cool. keep it coming, all of it. please leave more.

Was it, Was it

Flesh and blood is not pure so I resign
myself into the
archetype shadow, the constellation
hanging above. I can't see either
linger. I wait for sweet nothing with
girlish figure.
There's a genius in the mirror
stroking the reliefs along the
satin topography, we name our
kneecaps.
And I peddle energy back, back.
